A blend between the AEM5 and the AEM3, the AEM5K features an A-length mount and the shorter AEM3 baffles. This configuration offers a simple swap from a longer A-length can using the same hardware while only being slightly longer than an AEM3. Differences in sound and flash performance between the AEM3 and AEM5K are negligible. While this longer mount does prevent it from being used on as many hosts as the AEM3, the simplicity of swapping between the two is attractive for many people who have only one host but may use a different suppressor for different applications.
